I have been going hiking with Lidia for over a year now. Lidia is super reliable, friendly & extremely considerate. Due to my medical condition, I needed to make sure I put myself out there in the presence of a person that I could fully TRUST.
Lidia plans every step of the way so that all my needs in terms of a fun & fulfilling experience, may be satisfied, without the feelings of fatigue or burnout, based on my limiting condition. She 1st checks my energy level & enthusiasm for that day. Then she carefully plans a hike that is most suitable to my health condition for that excursion ;).
She is super flexible & extremely reliable ( did I say that enough times? ;) ) She is courteous & respectful of the person's time frame and obligations. She goes out of her way to accommodate my needs, as she believes everyone deserves to enjoy the healing effects of nature, despite their disabilities & short comings, as long as they desire to achieve wellness through the adventure that Lidia, uniquely has mastered & offers through her services.

I met Lidia Edwards over two years ago and she has improved the quality of my life in so many ways. I am 65 now. My artificial hip turned 18 last month, and my other hip has always shown symptoms of the same osteo-arthritis due to congenital dysplasia. I know that it's of paramount importance to keep up muscle tone to hold the joint in place, yet I had avoided hiking for years because of the fear of stressing my hips by the pounding of going down steep trails. Well, Lidia evaluated my situation, and we started making regular visits to St. Edward Park in Juanita, a perfect wooded trail down to Lake Washington without harsh elevation loss/gain! Lidia adapts her pace to mine --I am under 5 feet tall-- and makes sure to point out tree roots, holes and slippery areas.
I owned virtually no technical clothing, so Lidia helped me make good choices to outfit myself practically for a range of weather conditions and outdoor adventures. Last winter, she took me to Franklin Falls in the snow! She informed me about devices that would go right over my hiking boots and give me traction on the sometimes icy path. Turned out for that trip, Lidia gave me her superior spikes to wear so that I felt totally safe! Viewing a frozen waterfall with the sun sparkling through ice? Truly a peak experience! (Check out the gorgeous photos)
Lidia is deeply knowledgeable about nutrition, and shares all that she has learned over many years of research and personal experimentation. I can't say that I have adopted every recommendation, but I have eliminated certain food products and tweaked my diet to aid with longevity and overall good health. There is so much mythology out there surrounding food and diet, and Lidia has really done her homework in this area!
Recently, we have done “shinrin yoku” or “forest bathing.” This is a gentle, meditative walk that is perfectly suited to my age and condition. Also, for daily stretching and strengthening even when no activity is planned, Lidia taught me a group of exercises called the “Five Tibetans.” I am working on incorporating this practice at home. My next adventure with Lidia: I am a moderately skilled road biker, and have always been curious about mountain biking. Lidia is an expert mountain biker, and the only one I would trust to guide me on an easy but beautiful trail. I look forward to summer!
Most importantly, Lidia combines knowledge, careful observation and attentive listening with authentic care and concern. She shares with me her profound love for nature together with her own loving nature, truly a healing combination!

Wellness Through Adventure is the BEST! I had never hiked in the winter and snow before, and with Lidia's leadership and knowledge of the trails and equipment, I had a fantastic experience with a great group of fellow adventurers! It was so invigorating and glorious to hike Mt. Si blanketed in snow for our "graduation"!
Thank you Lidia. ❤️

The Conditioning Program with Wellness Through Adventure is what I needed for my physical and emotional well-being. It provides necessary knowledge, skills, and camaraderie.
Lidia Edwards, who leads the Program, chooses the places that are breathtaking. The hikes are challenging enough, however, with group support and checking on our state, everybody succeeds.
Lidia is a professional who brings physical activities to everybody who wants to be in a good shape and explore the beauty of the North West. The value it brings is priceless. It is worth A Beautiful Soul Reward (I just founded it).
I have been to 4 trips with Lidia, and this is the best experience I have ever had!

Wellness Through Adventure was a fantastic experience! Lidia has a breadth of knowledge and passion for improving one’s life that is inspiring and motivating. Her programs are appropriate for a wide variety of fitness levels and interests, and she is very flexible in tailoring a program to the individual as well as to a group. Her hands-on experience makes her a perfect choice when trying something new. Through the course of participating in her offered activities, I found that I improved both mentally and physically. I felt that I was pushed and motivated, but in a good and positive way. At the conclusion, I found that I was greatly improved, and was having such a good time I didn’t even notice it until afterwards.
Ultimately, one word sums it up: Fun!
I strongly recommend that anyone who desires to explore the outdoors or just live a better life reach out to Lidia at Wellness Through Adventure. Her programs are available for both the individual and in a group setting. I recommend that people try both, as each has its own unique aspects that should be experienced. It’s a very rewarding experience in every way, and I can’t wait to do it again!

Lidia and I have been friends for years, and I consider her a close friend. She is honest, enthusiastic, and very determined. She has had major knee injuries in her past, resulting in several surgeries, and was told she would be crippled as a result. I have tried to keep up with her for years, and she never ceases to amaze me. To be able to climb Poo Poo Point in 35 min, strongly suggests that she has overcome her infirmities. Wellness Through Adventure, is the inspiration that resulted during her recovery.
She has lead me, and several others, to some of the most breathtaking places you could ever imagine, and when it comes time for me to transition from this life, these are the precious memories I will be entertaining.
To get to some of these places requires determination, and perseverance, although many of the early hikes in a series, are mild. They start off gentle and progressively become longer with more elevation gain.
These hikes are a group effort, and require a helpful, "All For One, and One For All," attitude. Several of the people I've met as fellow hikers, have become dear friends and we socialize regularly off the mountains. They are kind, helpful, tough-minded, playful, smart, a bonus I never considered.
So... if you want to get in shape, overcome health issue, like my heart attack, get out and really see some of the most beautiful places in the world, and meet wonderful, like minded people, this is something you really need to look into.
To quote a late friend of mine who lived to be 100, "Honey, if you don't grow, you rot".
